Zara is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and graduated with a bachelor of science in Business Administration from Chapman University. She is currently a manager of Financial Reporting at Paramount Pictures. A resident of Glendale since 2013, Zara and her husband live in a 1950 Mid-century Modern home designed by noted architect A. Quincy Jones, which was part of TGHS's 2015 “Mad for Modern” Home Tour. She has been an annual Home Tour volunteer and currently serves on the Preservation Advocacy Committee.
